Computing Minor

The minor in computing encourages students to explore the application of computing and digital technologies in their major discipline and to prepare for careers that are impacted by new technology.

The minor focuses on providing broad and accessible opportunities for experiential learning and the acquisition of core computing competencies. The flexible nature of the minor allows students to tailor the program for their primary program of study and computing interest.

Course Requirements


  • COMP 2000 - Computing and Society (Applications, Ehthics, Careers) Credits: 2 OR discipline specific computing focused course that address application, ethics, careers, ect. 
  • Computer Programing Credits: 3
  • COMP 3000 - Basic computing Credits: 3 OR discipline specific foundational computing course
  • COMP 3500 - Advanced Computing Credits: 3 OR discipline specific depth of computing course
  • COMP 4000 - Practicum 1 Credits: 4
  • Computing Elective Credits: 3

TOTAL: 18 Credits
