MATH 4500 - Matrix Theory Credits: 3 Continuation from MATH 2250 of the study of matrices, an important tool in statistics, physics, engineering and applied mathematics in general. Concentrates on the structure of matrices, including diagonalizability; symmetric, hermitian and unitary matrices; and canonical forms such as Jordan form.
Prerequisite: grade of C or better in MATH 2250 .
