ENTO 5602 - Insects in the Classroom: Insects and Their Ways Credits: 1 Designed for school teachers K-12. Basic concepts of insect structure and function (insect morphology, insect physiology, insect ecology, and insect behavior) are discussed with emphasis on the presentation of these concepts using living insects in the classroom. Half of the class is devoted to field trips, laboratories, workshop activities, and films. Each student will design, conduct, and write-up an experiment with insects. Course may be taken independently of ENTO 5601 . Identical to NASC 4790 .
Prerequisite: junior standing. Offered summer term.
