This program will focus on advanced study and research in the field of AI and Machine Learning (ML). It is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and expertise to understand, develop, and apply AI and ML technologies in various disciplines.
The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence program comprises two years of coursework, thesis research, research projects, and practical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The program will offer both Plan A and Plan B degrees, each with 30 required credits.
The Plan A degree program consists of 24 hours of required coursework, two hours of seminar credits, and four hours of thesis research credits (COSC5960 or EE5960). Students must complete an accepted research thesis for the Plan A degree program approved by the student’s graduate committee.
The Plan B degree program, a non-thesis option, consists of 28 hours of required coursework credits and two hours of seminar credits. A student pursuing the Plan B degree program as part of the 28 hours of required coursework credits can do an independent study project at the graduate level of a maximum of three credits.
