This concentration focuses on basic sciences, and is designed as a preparatory program for those wanting to pursue a graduate degree in animal or veterinary science, premedical/pre-professional paths, or academic/government/industry research.

Degree Requirements
This degree requires 120 credits, 42 of which are upper-division credits. University Studies Program
This degree requires that The University Studies Program 2015 requirements are met before graduation. Some of the courses required for this major fulfill USP requirements, but not all. Students should check their degree evaluations and consult with their assigned academic advisor to discuss their specific course plan. Animal and Veterinary Science Core
All students completing a degree in Animal & Veterinary Science will take the following courses as a core. These courses are designed to introduce shared animal science and pre-veterinary medicine disciplines and establish a strong baseline knowledge for students interested in animal fields. * = grade of C or better required for degree completion.
