HIST 4340 - The Social History of American Women Credits: 3 Explores everyday life experiences of American women from the 17th century to the present. Focuses on the complex influence of gender, race and class in shaping those experiences; also, analyzes the ways in which women’s dissatisfaction with their position in society formed the basis for the development of American feminism and led to the formation of an organized women’s movement.
