PETE 3200 - Reservoir Engineering Credits: 3 Covers rock and fluid properties, reserve estimation using volumetric and material balance methods, discussion of different reservoir drive mechanisms, aquifer models, Darcy’s law and single-phase flow through porous media, introduction to well testing, solution of radial diffusivity equation, immiscible displacement, decline rate analysis, and reservoir simulation.
Prerequisite: PETE 3025 , C or better in PETE 2050 . Student must be a Petroleum Engineering major.
