MATH 1450 - Algebra and Trigonometry Credits: 5 Emphasizes aspects of algebra, trigonometry and problem solving important in the study of calculus. Functions and their applications to real world problems. Classes of functions including polynomial, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions. Intuitive introduction to the idea of limit and sequence which are developed further in the calculus sequence. For the student with considerable prior exposure to trigonometry and algebra. Graphing calculators are used frequently in class and on assignments. See instructor for specifications.

Prerequisite: grade of C or better in MATH 0925 or Level 3 on the Math Placement Exam or Math ACT of 23 or Math SAT of 600.
