A Molecular Biology minor includes courses in basic sciences, molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, electives and research opportunities, preparing students for postgraduate studies.

Additional Information

Students wishing to minor in molecular biology should discuss their plans with an adviser. Formal declaration of molecular biology as a minor requires: 1) submission of a form approved by the Department of Molecular Biology and the College of Agriculture, Life Sciences and Natural Resources Dean’s Office and 2) appointment of an adviser for the Department of Molecular Biology.

Although there is no specific number of credits required, to receive a minor in molecular biology, a student must complete courses listed in the following areas that total approximately 45 credits:
