PETE 3255 - Basic Drilling Engineering Credits: 3 Principles and practices of oil and gas well rotary drilling, including rock mechanics, drilling hydraulics, drilling fluids, and hold deviation. Drilling equipment analysis, casing design, and drilling fluid properties. Application of modern computer-based analysis and design methods.
Prerequisite: C or better in PETE 2050 . Student must be a Petroleum Engineering major.
