This course introduces computational methods for statistical modeling, prediction, and pattern discovery. Topics include techniques in regression, classification, resampling, model assessment, and unsupervised learning. Advanced topics may also be introduced. Emphasis is placed on both conceptual foundations and data analysis

Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in one of the following: STAT 4015 or STAT 4025 or STAT 4045
