STAT 5240 - Statistical Learning and Data Mining

This course introduces computational methods for statistical modeling, prediction, and pattern discovery. Topics include techniques in regression, classification, resampling, model assessment, and unsupervised learning. Advanced topics may also be introduced. Emphasis is placed on both conceptual foundations and data analysis.

Prerequisite: Grade of B or better in one of the following: STAT 5015 or STAT 5025 or STAT 5045
