ME 4040 - Introduction to Finite Elements Credits: 3 An introduction to the theory and application of finite elements to the solution of various problems with emphasis on structural mechanics. The course includes development of the underlying matrix equations, the treatment of element generation and properties, and implementation of boundary conditions.
Prerequisite: Completion of the ME Success Curriculum, MATH 2310 and (CE 4200 /ARE 4200 or MATH 2250 or ME 3010 or ME 3060 ). Dual Listed ME 5040 .
