The study of the successes and failures of alternative economic systems; origins, similarities, and differences across capitalist, socialist, and communist systems, including the UW, Chinese, European, Russian, Latin American, and African economies. What does history tech us? Are there different tools to grow economy?

Prerequisite: ECON 3010 ; QA.
