The Bachelor of Science degree in Biology is designed to provide a thorough foundation in biology as well as other supporting areas of physical and life sciences and mathematics while providing flexibility and student choice.

Degree Requirements
This degree requires 120 credits, 42 of which are upper-division credits. Additional Information
The biology major is designed for students interested in obtaining a broad education in biological sciences. It enables students to combine courses in biology, botany, zoology, physiology, and other biological sciences to meet the requirements of the major. On completion of the core requirements for the major, specific courses selected to complete the major may vary according to students’ interests and are worked out by consultations between student and advisor. The requirements for a Bachelor of Science degree in biology are as follows: A grade of C or better is required in all major classes. The degree program is administered by the Department of Botany. This degree requires that The University Studies Program 2015 requirements are met before graduation. Some of the courses required for this major fulfill USP requirements, but not all.
