Undergraduate Program in Nutrition and Dietetics (BS-HNF)
This variation of the Bachelor’s of Science in Human Nutrition and Food (BS-HNF) prepares students to enter the Graduate Program in Nutrition and Dietetics (MS-GPND) by fulfilling the core undergraduate components of the standard BS-HNF while also fulfilling the requirements needed to begin graduate coursework for their Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Program Introduction
Entrance into the program is made only through an application process. Each prospective student will initially enter the undergraduate Human Nutrition and Food major. Students must apply to the Dietetics pathway before the summer semester of their junior year. All academic requirements and supervised practice experiences must be completed before the student is eligible for the Registration Examination for Dietitians administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), the credentialing agency for the Academy. This program provides the required dietetics coursework and supervised experiential learning required to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
University Studies Program
This degree requires that The University Studies Program 2015 requirements are met before graduation. Some of the courses required for this major fulfill USP requirements, but not all. Students should check their degree evaluations and consult with their assigned academic advisor to discuss their specific course plan.
Graduate Program in Nutrition and Dietetics (MS-GPND)
After completing the requirements for the undergraduate program on the Dietetics pathway, students will continue on to complete their 1 year Masters in preparation for the Registration Examination for Dietitians. Requirements for the graduate program can be found here:
