SOC 4500 - Sociology of Organizations Credits: 3 Complex organizations have been described as the dominant feature of modern societies. Organized on the basis of bureaucratic modes of administration, they dominate contemporary societal institutions, such as the economy, the polity, education, religion, and the military. This course investigates basic structures and processes of all types of complex organizations.
Prerequisite: 6 hours of SOC including SOC 1000 and junior/senior or graduate student standing.
