MUSC 3015 - Introduction to Global Music

The purpose of this course is to acquaint students with many musics of the world. Students will discuss a variety of non-Western musics in their historical and cultural contexts, think critically and reflexively about one’s own musical values, and fluently employ specialized terminology to describe musical performances and pieces.
