This course represents an in-depth engagement with the history of archaeological theory and intersection with methods. The intent is to provide graduate students with a solid foundation in archaeological theory as well as an ability to understand, critically assess, and contribute to debates concerning the nature of contemporary archaeology.

Prerequisite: Students must be of graduate standing or have the permission of the instructor.
