SDEV 3765 - Computer Security

Security is paramount to creating software and systems. This course introduces the fundamentals of computer security and applied cryptography from theory to practice. Topics include cryptographic fundamentals, authentication, access control, network/wireless security, software security, OS security, common protocols, and ethics. Course projects will focus on developing reliable code and understanding attacks.

Prerequisite: SDEV 2030 or COSC 2030
Note: Credit cannot be earned in both SDEV 3765 and COSC 3765
