About the University


The University of Wyoming (UW) is a public land-grant research university in Laramie, Wyoming, United States. It is the the only 4-year academic institution in the state and was founded in March 1886, four years before the territory was admitted as the 44th state. It consists of seven colleges: agriculture,life sciences and natural resources, arts and sciences, business, education, engineering and physical sciences, health sciences, and law.  The engaging campus life, affordable tuition, student resources and groundbreaking research opportunities bring students in from all around the world. 120+ areas of study create an abundance of majors and multiple interdisciplinary programs, giving students practical and real-world skills.
